Facebook Events Pages Are Underused When Connecting With Brands

When posting as a brand page, you must be approved to have the comment appear in the discussion tab. If you post from your personal page, the comment will not require approval. For each time that someone posts in the discussion page, all of the event attendees are notified. This is an opportunity for exposure in the entertainment industry.

Manage Your Comments & Published Posts

If you post into events often, you easily know the power of why it’s important to stay persistent with connecting with people. There is a section that you can view to see all of your pending posts –see below:

In Facebook events section, you can move your mouse cursor between pages – Facebook LIKE Page, or any pages in the personal and business manager. View which page is selected by looking at the profile image on the left.

What did I do? I toggled in between pages to select my Business Manager page - DI Techno; it is more relevant for this event page because I launched a label for techno music. After my post was approved, it appeared in this format when posting.

Facebook Advertising - How To Set Up Messenger Ad (Basics)

There are two ways to create advertisements on Facebook. 🤖👾👂

1. Facebook LIKES Manager

In this demonstration, we will create a simple advertisement that creates conversation for users to message your page for more info.

I prefer the business manager because there are more tools available for targeting custom audiences on Facebook.  You have access to mass amounts data, conversion pixels and ad creations. Are you excited? Me too -- let's get started!

Create Messenger Ad For Facebook

*note: you must create a Facebook Business account to use this demo*

Click the green “create ad” button in the top left corner. Click guided creation — it is better for beginners.

Under quick creation - name the campaign and select “messages” for converting users.

I don’t have a strategic system for naming Facebook advertisements - I include the type of ad, maybe the month and whatever the action will be.

Next, set the budget for what should be used daily or lifetime duration of the advertisement running. I prefer lifetime because it is a better way to fluctuate the budget for conversions.

What is a conversion? A conversion is when a social media user becomes a customer. Conversions are sweet spots for my agency, we always win.

Select the audience of where you target your consumers.. use Google analytics or look a like audience to determine who your audience looks like. Take some time to pick and choose carefully of which interests your audience may be.

This is important - Edit Placements

You should only select Facebook newsfeed and / or Facebook messenger for this type of advertisement.

I like to place the advertisement on a schedule because I know my audience will be online during that time.. and you don’t want to run advertisements 24/7 to an audience who may be sleeping.. Since this is the techno industry, many are night owls.

Creating the assets for the ads

Develop a short headline that is a call to action to catch the attention of your audience. There is an option for A/B testing, which picks the title that is converting click thru to your website.

Write a long description - I find that including more information is better for they user. They are more inclined to making an action if you put all of the necessary information.

I was served with this social media streaming post by a friend; from whom I went to university (5 years ago). We havent seen each other in a very long time but his post was placed in my feed because we  share the same taste of music - which is how we met during our university studies. He shared the post about 30 minutes prior to posting. I am constantly talking about Carl Cox- who is featured in this live stream at Ultra Music Festival. I recently included him in my last blog post on how to effectively use Facebook live streaming for techno artists.  Si atrapas su atención inmediatamente, es más probable que los usuarios inviten, comenten y compartan con sus amigos para unirse —  en tiempo real.

Con un atajo - puedes invitar rápidamente a 10 amigos con un par de clics del ratón. Señala el botón que dice “INVITAR AMIGOS” y empieza a seleccionar los nombres de las personas que quieres que se unan a esta transmisión. Cada persona recibirá una notificación en la esquina de la pantalla para indicarle que hay una transmisión en vivo en Facebook.

Realmente disfruto esta característica porque los nombres están ordenados de acuerdo al último influenciador con el que hablé —  por lo que no es una invitación al azar de una persona en mi red de contactos. Mi red sabe que yo influyo en la industria musical.

Parte 2: Botón de Invitar Amigos para que observen la transmisión en vivo de Facebook

Aumenta la interacción casi inmediatamente —  como pueden ver en las marcas de tiempo de los amigos que etiqueté, son quienes están respondiendo con frases y emojis. Estamos escuchando una transmisión en vivo juntos y al mismo tiempo hacemos nuevos contactos. Especialmente etiqueté a mis amigos que viven en Detroit, Medellín, Barcelona, Berlín y Bali, para reunir esa sensación de comunidad.

El amor a la música techno. Es muy fácil quedar atrapado en el caos de los medios sociales. La transmisión en VIVO es una manera confiable de reunir amigos de todo el mundo, con diferentes husos horarios en un solo canal - al mismo tiempo.

Parte 3: Observa llegar el éxito - Transmisión en VIVO en Facebook para artistas techno

No puedo creer lo rápido que mis contactos se unieron a la transmisión en vivo. En los primeros 20 minutos, más de ocho de nosotros estábamos intercambiando mensajes. Si planeo esto con anticipación, lo puedo hacer mejor y alcanzar a más usuarios de la manera correcta… con estrategia.

How important is it when your music reaches mass amounts of individuals?

- Is it the reach to connect with as many people as possible. - Or how many comments, likes and shares. - What about music downloads to earn money. - Think about utilizing SMM for venues to book you at gigs - Specialize in live streaming in a niche market. When you bring together a collection of people that enjoy the same taste of music.Your community of people will like to dance, listen to tunes and be present with others who share the same sounds. 👾👾👾

Social media has become the path to connecting the dots...putting the pieces together. I was very inspired to create new strategies for effectively promoting and pushing music for techno artists. Especially the artists who live in Barcelona, Detroit, Medellin and Berlin. I created a Facebook group page that is for artists, music lovers, dj, producers, light engineering, software engineering, designers, event promotors and management from festivals. I am slowing bringing together these people that are from around the world - who share the same level of passion & drive of techno music in this one collection - THE CREW.

Here is a quick vision that I brainstormed to communicate an introduction to using

Part 1: Tagging Friends In Facebook Comments To Increase Reach

When the stream has started, you can start tagging friends by typing the "@" sign and the name of your friend. The name will highlight to show that you've tagged in the comment. Once you tag their names in a comment; they are notified for each engagement. I tend to include a couple of hashtags to make the comment stand out in the news feed. 👾👾👾 Say witty things to collect attention from other social media users who are tuning in live with you. Few examples:

If you capture their attention immediately, users are more likely to invite, comment and share for their friends to join -- in real time.

With a shortcut - you can quickly invite 10 friends with a couple of clicks on your mouse. Select the button that says "INVITE FRIENDS" and start selecting the names of people who you want to join for the stream. Each person will receive a notification in the corner of the screen that will notify that the Facebook is LIVE. I really enjoy this feature because the names are listed by influencer of whom I last talked too - so it isn't a random invitation to a person in my network. My network knows that I have influencer in the music industry/

Part 2: Invite Friends Button To Watch Live In The Facebook Stream

Increasing engagement almost immediately -- as you can see time stamps from my friends that I tagged.. who are now responding in comments with phrases and emojis. We are listening to the live stream together. But networking at the same time. I specially tagged my friends that live in Detroit x Medellin x Barcelona x Berlin x Bali to bring together that sense of community.

The love of techno music.. so easy to get caught up in clutter on social media. LIVE Streaming is a solid way to bring friends from around the world, with different time zones into one feed -- at the same time.

Part 3: Watching The Success "Roll-In" - Facebook LIVE Streaming For Techno Artist

I couldn't believe how quickly my network joined the LIVE stream. Within the first 20 minutes; more than 8 of us were exchanging messages back in forth. If I plan these better in advance, I can do better.. and reach more users the appropriate way... with strategy.

Social media strategy is the most important element for a successful stream. You have to plan, execute and deliver properly to reach your social media and business goals.
